Assistant Manager Media is responsible for development and execution of the media strategy in the market delivering maximum Return on Media Investment, breakthrough innovation and functional excellence. The role includes involvement in the overall management of the media value chain, with specific responsibility for media and digital agencies. The role reports into the Country Media Head and is a business partner for brands.

Job Summary
  • Assist the Media Manager in the development and execution of media vision and strategy in market, working with global/ regional media teams and country marketing teams.
  • Must be proficient in traditional and digital media landscapes with in depth industry and medium knowledge. Knowledge and experience in OOH will be a plus.
  • Monitor and report on relevant trends in the digital media landscape
  • Ensure paid digital media, Search Engine Marketing/ Optimization and social media strategies align to our strategic and tactical goals
  • Responsible for development and delivery of identified country Key Performance Indicators supporting the overall business/marketing plan.
  • Supervise and Validate detailed traditional and digital media plans, schedule and campaign buying brief targets
  • Lead and leverage both internal and external partners, in developing media/channel strategies towards driving brand, category and business growth.
  • Support development of brand engagement ideas, specifically provide and use local country consumer / media insights. Integrate and execute these brand ideas across communication platforms.
  • Drive measurement of the effectiveness of media investment. Optimise the brand communication/engagement/conversation based on insights from data analytics.
  • Builds and grows strong relationships with the vendors and agencies
  • Drives capability building through sharing and embedding best practice, developing and delivering training and creating learning and sharing environment.
  • Provide expert opinion on media plans for best Return on investment
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thoughts leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Manage budgets and invoice reconciliation
