To drive the commercial agenda for assigned cluster & category, by developing powerful plans in line with the agreed channel strategies, ensuring full alignment of all stakeholders especially sales operations and driving best in class execution.

  • Deployment of category agenda with the approach best suited for the assigned cluster.
  • Be the voice of the category in the cluster and of the cluster in the category.
  • Participate in developing national channel strategies for the assigned category.
  • Participate in developing the promotional strategy for the assigned category according to cluster needs that delivers long-term, sustainable, profitable growth to the business.

Principal Responsibilities:

Cluster Category Planning & Activation

  • Develop and deploy best in class consumer BTL and trade activation plans tailored to the needs of the assigned cluster. Ensure complete representation of plans.
  • Own the assigned cluster/category’s Activation Grid and ensure its impact is sufficiently captured in the demand planning process.
  • Ensure alignment of all stakeholders on the equity & activation plans.
  • Provide inputs for the development of POS material, visibility requirements for the cluster, based on 5P Picture of Success; forecasting, stock management & allocation; execution directives and KPI’s, etc. supported by compelling fact-based Ready-to-sell (RTS) commercial propositions.

Channel & Category Agenda.

  • Participate in the development of Channel sales strategies, review, and advice on policies - pricing, products mix, portfolio planning.
  • Ensure deployment of Picture of Success by channel for the assigned cluster for the sales team.
  • Actively track launch/activation implementation and performance, also conducting post-evaluations to be shared with the commercial organization.

Market Intelligence & Execution.

  • Be the eyes and ears of the category in the assigned cluster. Monitor competitor activities, keep categories/marketing abreast with changes and highlight amendment in strategy is required.
  • Develop tracking tools to monitor the execution of launches, mega activities and share learnings with the category team.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualification: Master's Degree

Minimum Experience: +5 Years of overall experience (FMCG / Food Manufacturing)
