Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, administration and execution of business strategies to as well as leading Floor Operations for multiple departments
  • Responsible for achieving the business targets of a particular store
  • Proper stock maintenance (waste record, Working on daily lists, working on old stock
  • Implement shop merchandising, layout and customer traffic flow so as to maximise sales, customer satisfaction, appearance, image and ergonomics for customers
  • Execution of sales promotional activities for awareness, faster off-takes for building brand image vis-à-vis new and existing products
  • Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of promotional activities planned
  • Manage selling and customer service activities and staff competence in these areas, so as to optimise and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Manage health and safety, security, and emergency systems, capabilities and staff and customer awareness, according to company policy and relevant law
  • Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff, according to company policies and employment laws, and ensure relevant HR procedures are followed (appraisals, discipline, grievance, etc).
  • Coordinating with other functional teams to improve efficiency and market share
  • Maintaining staff & product hygiene at all levels according to company policy
  • Customer Visits to handle complaints and maintaining good relations, measure potential business needs and taking feedback on product and services
  • Maintaining floor discipline that includes stock availability, shelf management, proper presentation, in short, PSPSPP ( Presentation, Signage, Promotion, Safety, Products and Personnel)
  • Shrinkage control by proper ordering as per need and controlling price to ensure quick sales
  • Maintain optimum stock level as per targets and needs.
  • Bringing new ideas and techniques to boost the overall sales.
  • Control over old stock and negative & zero stocks
  • Proper execution of partial inventory as per schedule
  • Scheduling and development of staff


Customer Management:

  • Addressing customer complaints to understand customers’ needs and expectations, and to propose solutions.
  • Keep a contact with customers on regular bases to understand their needs and expectations, and to know best customers personally.
  • Analyse the best customers to know them, know their buying behaviors, understand their needs and propose solutions.
  • Monitoring action plan definition to check customer activity and set-up actions (campaign management), customer activity per product family, and customer activity regarding turnover performance.
  • Visit customers to understand their business and activities.

Competitors Analysis:

  • Check Competitor’s promotion to know their tools and techniques and device strategy to encounter their promotions.
  • Analyze Price comparison with main competitor/s.
  • Evaluate competitors‘ promotion check toprovide on-going feedback on main competitors (retailers, wholesalers, etc.) per customer segment (HoReCa, Trader, Services, Companies & Offices) to Buying Department.
  • Visit competitors to check price, assortment, merchandising services, competitor activities and to give feedback on the competition to buying hence not relying only on MIU reports.

Team Management:

  • Coach and train team members on existing and new concepts, technology and functionality to pave their way towards the successful achievement of the functional objectives of the team, thus playing a role in the enhancement of the technical skill set of an individual and improving the growth of an individual towards positive attitude.
  • Monitor performance of all team members in order to identify the difference between expected level of productivity and actual productivity.
  • Review and approve all the operational activities of team members.
  • Maintain a conducive and learning environment among all team members in order to ensure a healthy, friendly, productive and supportive environment.
  • Ensure that each member is adhering to the policies and procedures announced by the management.

  • Shrinkage follow-up
  • Personnel follow-up: productivity, FTEs, staff rotation, costs
  • Information provision to Store Manager for budgeting


  • At least 6 years of retail experience with 2 years in a managerial position
